Henry's very successful "Temptin' Tour" is in the books! The tour kicked off on Friday Afternoon September 2nd at the UCWDC 2005 South Bay Dance Fling in San Jose, California. While there Henry featured the debut of his Hot New Dance "Temptin' in addition to teaching some of his blasts from the past including "Lost Love." the ever crowd pleasing "Freedom" the hot dancin' "Leontine Court" and his signature stepper,
"Hopping Mad." It was at the 2005 UCWDC South Bay Dance Fling that the Premiere of "Temptin'" which Henry choreographed to The Temptations Hit Song "I'm Here (Metro Mix)" propelled him to a First Place in the Choreography Competition of the Non-Country Dance Division. At the event Henry also showcased his fun and cute classic "Lost Love" that he choreographed to Smokey Robinson & The Miracles "Tears of a Clown." ![]() Henry then traveled to Burlingame, California for two nights of fun, games, rides and dancin' at OLA Country Fun Faire. Henry taught dance classes to people of all ages who attended. In addition to "Temptin'" Henry taught many old line dance favorites including "10 step", "Cotton Eyed Joe", and the "West Coast Strut". Henry then returned home to California's Largest Legendary Country Night Club "The Saddle Rack" where "Temptin'" took the large crowd in attendance by storm. Fans of the Rack's House Band Appaloosa went especially wild when the dance was showcased Country Style to Lead Singer Jewels Hanson hit song "I'm Keepin My Boots On." which is sung in concert each week live at The Saddle Rack. ![]() During the first week of October Henry then hit the road and returned to Southern California for a week of good times. Henry started the Southern California leg of his tour in the city of Baldwin Park where he taught Temptin' to a large crowd at the Esther Snyder Community Center. Henry had a wonderful welcome from the dancers and instructor Liz Montez. In addition Henry taught "Lost Love". Both dances were received well by the dancers. Later that evening, Henry made his first appearence in the city of Eagle Rock Appearing at Fran Christain's class at the town's City Hall. Both Fran and her entire class surprised Henry welcoming him by dancing his "Leontine Court" which they have been doing for years. The class enjoyed Henry's appearance and had fun Learning "Temptin'" and "Lost Love." ![]() The following day Henry made his first ever appearance in Ventura, California to enjoy a night of dancing at the fabulous Country Lovers Western Dance Club. Henry taught "Temptin'" and the "East Coast Swing" to the clubs largest attended Tuesday night class of the year. Henry was invited to teach their by Marshall & Teresa Throneberry who he had met earlier in the month at the South Bay Dance Fling. Everybody including Henry had a wonderful night in Ventura. The next morning, Henry made a return visit to a long time favorite place of his "The Jackie Robinson Center" appearing at old friend Vivian Robles super class located in Pasadena, California. Henry got a big reaction when he showcased "Temptin'" which the the class loved! ![]() On Friday September 7th, Henry went to Long Beach, California where he helped kick off Country Night at the PCH Club. Henry taught old time favorites "West Coast Strut", "10 Step" and "Country Two Step". Henry had loads of fun because of the fabulous response of the evenings dancers. The Southern California leg of the tour ended up at the The Joslyn Center in Alhambra, California on Saturday October 8th with a large crowd enjoying Henry's "Temptin'" along with his oldie but goodie "Lost Love". Henry wants all to know who attended he had a wonderful time in Southern California! ![]() Henry returned to the Northern California leg of the tour when on October 15th he made an appearance at the Country Hustlers Dance Club in Livermore. Henry got a warm reception when he taught "Temptin'" to the large and wonderful crowd of dancers. People then stomped to the music of DJ Clint Qualls who kept every steppin' all night long. Henry then Helped the Kaiser Permanente's in the cities of Union City and Hayward celebrate along with the American Physical Therapy Association "Physical Therapy Month" by teaching Line Dancing to both Kaiser Members and Employees who enjoyed the special classes. Henry got his biggest reactions when he taught his newest dance, "Temptin'". The final leg kicked off when on November 5th a capacity crowd of 200 joined Henry at the Main Library in Fremont for their first ever Library Line Dance. Henry then followed this up on the 8th with a stop at the place his line dancing career started when he returned to Swiss Park and joined the Tuesday Night Dancers for some good times. Finally on November 12th Henry ventured to Los Banos for the first time where over 100 dancers gave Temptin' a warm reception.
